Proof of Gradual Perfection

Piano, is a lovely instrument where any pianist may express himself freely...

As my teacher once said: "The pianist is at the mercy of their instrument..." this is true because no matter the condition of the piano, the ability of the pianist is what makes it come alive....meaning that if the piano you happen to be playing is one out of tune, a different brand or style that he/she is used to/doesn't like, or just doesn't feel or sound right, the pianist should be able to(or at least try to) still make it sound as wonderful as you can get the instrument to sound. ~What a facinating perspective!
Now to my post topic: Talents are such funny things, when you first start to practice one(such as; piano, dance, etc..)in the beginning you just adore it, then when you have to keep practicing on and on you eventually bore of it, then it beomes only a chore to be done, but, then once you've kept up with it and moved on to a higher level in your ability you sudenly seem to enjoy the daily practice which you have kept up with for so long that it gets to the point to where you just can't stop doing it, you love it.....like me with piano, as a pianist, I have more than once traveled away from home to a place where there happens to be no piano and, I will catch myself l-o-n-g-i-n-g to play though our own dear instrument lays at home. This is proof that practice makes perfect....although I'm far from perfect I can tell you that!
--By the way, this may not be the case for all of you, and was not meant as a criticism but as an encouragment to keep pursuing the things that interest you! When the going(*practicing*) gets tough; try,try agian.--

Lovingly meant,
Nicki

  2. Hey Nicki! Love this little piece of artwork about the pianoist and the teacher. :D
I'll see you soon! Oh by the way, I think it's funny how everytime I go on your blog josh turner's song plays. He had one song that I was literally OBSESSED with like two years ago. He has some good songs. Haha. Alright this ended up being longer than planned!

  6. This was inspirational, thanks :)! I REALLY wish I continued with piano but I stopped at age 11.Sometimes I regret it because I LOVE piano music (like Clair De Lune). However, I am not much of an instrument person but still have yet to find my talent in something.

    Great post :)!!

    Lots of Love,
    Carla

  7. By the way, do you take horse riding lessons? A few years ago I did and I loved it but for some reason took a break from it for awhile and then never got back into it. How long have you rode horses for? Do you have any of your own horses?

    Lots of Love,
    Carla
